Resolve Google Chrome not coming up

Do you have Google Chrome installed and all the sudden it just don't come up once you press the Icon? Learn how to resolve it.
Greetings folks,
Recently I faced an issue where Chrome all the sudden did not show up once I pressed the icon in the taskbar nor when going directly via the executable.
While I searched through file handles and services I came acrosss the User Data
folder of Chrome. It is located at %localappdata%\Google\Chrome SxS\
.
In there is a folder for the GPU render cache. Located at %localappdata%\Google\Chrome SxS\User Data\ShaderCache\
.
You need to delete that. Once done you also need to delete a empty file called First Run
.
Once I did this, Chrome started again. I only had to enter my Sync Info again but thats it, all other settings & bookmarks remained preserved.
The same steps can be done on Linux too. Path there would be $HOME/.chrome/
I believe.
Hope this helped someone.
Over and Out,
Aebian
